Grimaud: A medieval hill top village, steeped in history with its chateau and chapel. It is within walking distance or a short drive by car. Grimaud has a full range of shops including a general grocery store, butchers, tabac, gift store and two fabulous boulangeries for those fresh morming croissants and baguettes. Thursday is market day; a great way to sample the real delights of Provence. Grimaud has numerous restaurants, catering for all budgets and gastromonic needs. These include a pizzeria, ice cream parlour, brassieres and more formal a la carte restaurants.Grimaud has a Petit Train which runs throughout the dayduring the summer, from Grimaud to Port Grimaud. This is great fun for children and a fabulous way to travel to the beach. 

 

Port Grimaud: 3 kilometres away. A charming village which is built in Provencale style on a network of canals. From here take the Les Batueaux Verts a regular ferry service to St Tropez. Island tours and fishing trips are also available from here.

 

St Tropez: 12 Kilometres away. Very popular with the jet set and in crowd. St Tropez is a shopper's paradise with its renowned market on Tuesdays and Saturdays, designer shops and boutiques. The wonderful quay is lined with yachts and gin palaces.  A super place to people spot and watch the world go by, in one of the many terrace café and bars. Behind the quay, the small streets and old buildings are very picturesque. There are numerous restaurants to suit all needs.

 

Beaches: There are numerous wonderful beaches within a short drive from the villa. The nearest one 3 kilometres away at Port Grimaud. The most serious collection of beaches are along the Baie de Pampelonne, south of Saint Tropez and east of Ramatuelle.
